| We don't have practice on Saturday, just Sunday this week. However, I agree, and I think we could probably brainstorm afterwards. And thus, we invade the Burger realm, and challenge her King! | |

| I can talk to my boss at the bus garage. They have a crap ton of pallets, probably about 4x4. Think I should? | |

| of course you should.and if they are 4x4 that can still be worked with on my wall plans, just leave the top brace off it will still have the stability and I have an idea for stable raised platforms. we should,if we build this thing, totally document it from ground floor to completion also it should be built and stability tested we even consider letting other people fight on or around it,safety is the priority and foremost issue
yes lurking folks,we are considering,or at least I am,building a large scale fortification for this event

| Do I get to keep Bloodaxe if I win?
Also, this being oklahoma and all...and Oklahoma being windy and all, for the walls i suggest: -Either staking the legs to the ground(dont know how that idea would fare in a public park) -Or Make the walls so that they have a slight back tilt such that they wont fall forward -I've seen walls with the legs on the front and the back, but I dont care for that in terms of fighting -A Layer or two of foam around the edges of the Walls wound be nice, if you fall into the face of the wall who cares, but if for some reason you caught a corner or something, it wouldnt be too fun. Just thinking safety wise.
Also, if you can get pallets free, get as many as walls you want plus 2 or so. With the Extra 2, you can scrap them for the wood for the legs and stuff.
And in terms of prices, dont forget to take into effect the price of paint if the plan is to paint them.

| Ahnz: No, keeping Bloodaxe isn't an option. Also, if you'd pay attention, we're not talking about just walls like at Ludi. We're talking frame, wall, castle. Also, again, not going to be in a public park, it's going to be at my place cuz we have more room, can camp out, and can have fire. | |

| I am way ahead of you Ans,plan is to extend the legs forward for added stability and to entrench them if possible.still in planning and acquisition phase. padded edges would be nice but that may be a last minute addition,I have eyes on pallets right now and getting material needs focused,if we can get this thing built in real time then I have a hell of an idea for an event or 3
edit and yeah pallets have plenty of wood for the legs and supports,in fact we may only need to pony up for the cover boards and paint.

| Can your place be easier to find this time? You need a glowing arrow sign, balloons, and a guy in a board suit directing people also, i'd like to request short grass on a field with not many holes and no poop | |

| I got a scrap pass for as many pallets as we can haul away! There are plenty of good unbroken ones to choose from, but I'm going to need help hauling them away. I've got access to a suburban and a trailer. Any volunteers who might also have a truck or something? And what day would work best? And how many should I get? | |

also, i'd like to request short grass on a field with not many holes and no poop Ahnz, your such a troll. As Sulla said, we'll be policing and prepping next weekend (basically walking the land, checking things out, seeing what would work best for what). To Raalcorr and Sulla: You guys can get the pallets and bring them here whenever you want to. Just let me know so that way I can come out there, help, and then lead you back here to drop them off.

| If ya'll can meet me at TDK at 10:00am on Thursday, we can get everything we need. It may take 2 trips to get all the pallets we will need as our trailer is kind of smallish. I recommend that we get a couple more pallets than we need in case of unforeseen problems. And if we find that we will need more, I think I can get another scrap pass. It sounded like they wanted to get rid of them. | |

| I can pull off 10 am or 10:30. I'll just make sure someone's here to watch the baby for a little bit. Also, should we see about getting 20? Or just sticking with the original 14? | |

| I just found out that our suburban is running low on gas. I'll be able to fill it up on Friday, so we'll have to do it then. 10 or 10:30 is fine, we're flexible. How many pallets will we be using for the fortresses, gates, walls, and so forth? If we take the minimum necessary number and add 2 or 3 we should be good. Also, will we need some to take apart and use for scrap wood for construction and so forth? | |
