Everyone, the scenarios that we have been using have gotten stale and are not improving our skill anymore. We need to have a list of some suggestions and descriptions for new or even old scenarios we could use.
To get things started:

Chess Battle: Two teams stand facing each other with a shield wall in front of each team. The Herald calls for different types of combat in the following order:

Missile weapons only.
Retrieval of missile weapons by owners.
Honor challenges (eye contact honor battles).
Red berserkers (red weapons attack each other and the shieldwall, trying to cleave shields).
Grand Melee.
Note: The shield wall cannot 'travel'; one foot must stay planted until the Grand Melee. Warriors standing behind the wall may not advance to the center unless they are competing in the specific battle of the moment.
While we don't have enough reds or archers to make this work yet, it's still an idea.

Last Stand of the Dunedain: Take the most armored and largest shieldmen and outnumber them 2-1 minimum. Give the horde single weapons and have them surround the Dunedain.

Kill the King: Each team has a king to protect, and they lose when their king is dead. King is impervious to missile weapons.

Prisoners of War: Variation to add to many scenarios. Add a prison to the side of the match (behind enemy lines) where the dead must go. They must stay there until a team member tags them back in.

Dragon Quest: Seven fighters joined by short lengths of rope tied to their belts become the "dragon"
Four are the dragon's clawed feet and are armed with daggers or blues
A red weapon or spear user serves as the tail
An archer represents the fire-breathing head and also carries two small blues for the teeth
An armored weapon-and-shield fighter becomes the dragon's heart.
The only way for a dragon to die is its "heart" to be killed
Any non-heart part of the dragon is invincible
The Dragon must remain roped together and all wounds are cumulative
Have small groups try to slay the dragon individually or combine with other scenarios

Werewolf: Werewolves are sent into the woods or night
Werewolves must howl or growl
A werewolf may turn a human into a werewolf by grabbing them and calling "bite"
Werewolves can only be killed by a sword deemed "silver," and the attacker must call "silver" while attacking with it
Werewolves regenerate wounds from non-silver weapons every (X) seconds and resurrect every (Y) seconds
Werewolves may only use blue weapons or daggers, but hits from them count as red or double green respectively
All who die return to the "Inn" where a herald determines whether they reanimate as a werewolf or villager

The previous scenarios I found on the net, but we also need to come up with ones that are distinctly Midgar. Use your imagination. For instance;

The One Thing:
Types of participants: The Bearer, At least two Guardians, Defenders
The Bearer may not have any weapons, they have enough to do carrying The One Thing.
Guardians must use a shield and may not arch.
Defenders may use any weapon and weapon set except for bow and arrow.

A bearer carries "THE ONE THING", which is represented by a punch shield, across a bridge over The Bog of Eternal Stench covered by Defenders to drop "THE ONE THING" into The Flaming Nether Regions . The Bearer picks two Guardians to protect them on their journey. Defenders are in waves of two and each wave is separated from each other enough that they cannot assist each other. Each wave of Defenders stand side by side and are spaced one step distance apart from each other and one step distance from the edge of the bridge. They are not allowed to advance or retreat or move more than one foot at a time forward or back. At least one foot must be in their original line; if they move both feet forward or back from their original line, they automatically die. Guardians keep their injuries from wave to wave and if the Guardians are killed, the Bearer must still try to get across the bridge and get within one foot of The Flaming Nether Regions to destroy "THE ONE THING".

We can also add buffs or debuffs to make things interesting. For instance, stone skins could be added to those that need to be protected or to berzerkers. Weapons could become special with some extra bonus added. I don't mean something extreme like Amtgard, but something to spice things up.

If we don't have enough people to make some scenarios work, lets hear either some modifications or simply different scenarios.

It's an interesting idea that might work best with larger numbers and in a more heavily forested area, but it's still innovative. What if the decoy crystals killed you when you found them?

A couple more:

General Battle: Begins as a Free-For-All
Each person is their own general. If a General is alone and they are killed, they join the killer's team as a minion. If the dead General has minions, the General and the minions join the killers team.
Optional: Honor confrontations only (no breaking into fights or sudden attacks)
Optional for multiple team battles: When a general dies, their entire team instead breaks apart and they go back to being their own general

Golem Battle: Golems are immune to missile weapons and considered fully armored.
Any strike from a golem deals red damage
Golems can't move faster than a walk
Optional: Rocks thrown from a golem deal red damage and go through head armor

Also sounds especially good for a more heavily wooded area. Will the teams have rezes or would that be optional?

Here's more:

Merchants: Similar to a General Battle, we would select a number of players to be merchants. There must be enough merchants for them to select 3 or 4 body guards. Guards must protect their merchant. If their merchant is killed and the guards are still alive, they are hired by the team that killed their merchant.

If we can find a more heavily wooded area for some scenarios, it would add a great new element to any battle.

Treasure Hunt: An item representing the treasure is to be place or hidden somewhere in the forest
Even teams of combatants, no healing or resurrections, two people must be carrying the treasure
The first team to get the treasure back to the designated point or the last surviving team wins

An option to be added to some battles;
Traitor: Some people on each team are picked by the herald as traitors who can betray their team at their whim.

Troll Battle: The troll gets 2-3 layers of sectional stone-skin armor
Everybody forms a circle with their backs to the center. All weapons are in the center guarded by the troll when the battle starts
The troll does red damage with any weapon and by grappling, last person alive becomes the new troll

Two-headed Giant: Warriors pair off, each with one arm draped over their companion (these arms cannot carry weapons or shields and count as part of the torso) The two torsos count as one and the two middle legs count as one leg
The first hit to a leg counts as a hit to the middle leg and both combatants must put that knee on the ground

Meat Grinder Alpha: Form 2 lines. The two teams form up into columns. The teams march toward each other. The columns cannot move to the side or flank, but only march straight ahead. The teams march towards each other until the pile of dead is too high to get over.

Meat Grinder Beta: Form 2 lines. The first person in each line fights
The person that loses goes to the back of the opposite line
Wounds carry over from battle to battle
After one line is gone, the person in the center turns around and faces the remaining line

Soon as I can, I'm going to pick up some rope to mark off areas and tie combatants together and some road cones.

Please don't get offended, but I'm going to proofread this in order to better show everyone else what a great idea this is!

Healers versus Necros: Basic zombie battle except when you die by the Necro lord or one of his minions, the Necro Lord says "Zombie" or "Skeleton". If they don't, your teammates can run by and drag you to the res point. But if they drop you to engage in combat, a Necro Lord or minion can say zombie or skeleton. If the humans get you to the res point, they have to say "Heal". Then you're a human again. Even if the necro kills you, your team can fight the Necro off and steal his revive.
Human weapons count as red against skeletons except greens and projectiles.
Zombies must walk slow. Necro Lord has sectional stone skin as well as the zombies but the zombies must walk at a determined speed decided by herald. Necro, zombies, and skeletons have 5 reses. First team wiped out loses.

If I may make some suggestions. Only the Necro Lord can turn you into a zombie or skeleton and in order to turn the dead into some form of undead, I recommend that the Necro Lord have a short poem. Maybe around 50 or so syllables.
Here's one just off the top of my head:

"Suffering, festering, bloody useless flesh, rise to do my bidding! You are now my new (zombie/skeleton), to be sent against these fools. Now throw your unholy self at mine enemies and make them know the terror and pain of their worst hell!"

When you are being healed at the human res point, you can only be healed by a full healing poem. The Necro Lord, skeletons, and zombies all rez after 15 seconds where they fall. The Necro Lord has two layers of sectional stone skin while the zombies only have one. When Humans are dragging team mates, they can only walk.

What do you think?

(Said with terrible Russian/Eastern European accent) Fearless Leader has invented new one off top of head. (Leastwise new to me)

Demigod: Those who volunteer become Godspawn and do a free-for-all battle with any weapon combo to decide who is worthy of becoming a Demigod. Whoever wins is now a Demigod and takes on all the humans gathered against them, including the former godspawn now reincarnated into human form, to ascend to the level of GOD!! Twisted Evil The Demigod has 3 layers of sectional stone-skin armor and wields a single weapon capable of destroying a shield in one hit and ignoring all armor. Humans have any and all weapons.

Also, for newbies or just anyone who might be interested and as a onetime quick digression, I read a fine, simple way to make rocks on the Dagorhir forums. Take some foam scraps or open cell foam balls or just soft enough foam of some form, stuff it into the toe of a knee-high, twist the open end, stuff the ball through then rinse and repeat until you have used up the whole knee-high, then sew or cloth tape the end closed and, if you have used enough foam, you now have a 4" or greater in diameter rock. Cool Don't use any type of core except maybe denser foam for it and use as little tape as possible. If you have to use tape, only use cloth tape. Other stuff is too hard.

If I am wrong in my methods or instructions, please let me know.
