Unit Practice, Saturday, Kidspace Park

This is going to be a trial run to see how this goes. The Dragonknights of Midgar will be having a unit practice on Saturday, October 24th, from 12-5 PM at Kidspace Park. Unit practices will focus on unit movement/attack/defense, as well as basic drills and combat style training. In addition, there will be a long-awaited induction ceremony and an appointment of officers (Battlemaster and Loremaster). If anyone cannot make the practice at all, and is interested in either position, please notify me via PM. To recap:


What: Dragonknight Unit Practice

Where: Kidspace Park, Shawnee OK

Why: Drills, team movement/attack/defense/tactics, combat style, basic drills. Also, there will be an induction ceremony.

Hunter and I will most certainly be there. As long as the induction ceremony is early enough, I'm happy.
This question may mark me as a colossal geek, but is there anything special we will need to do in the ceremony or do we just need to show up?
Also, you should know that the office goblins are at it again. They've already scheduled the first two Saturdays in November as mandatory.
Not too many of us are happy about that, despite the extra pay. Speaking for myself, I want at least some of my Saturdays back!

Good to hear that you and Hunter will be able to make it. And no, you don't sound like any kind of geek; you asked a perfectly valid question. No, you don't have to anything or bring anything special besides yourselves.

There will not be a unit practice this Saturday, due to Halloween and such. However, all Dragonknights are required to be at practice on Sunday, November 1st. There will be a unit meeting after practice. However, if you cannot make it, please let myself or another Dragonknight know.

I would like to start holding unit practices again or start carpooling out to Edmond to fight with Alterra. If anyone is interested, please let me know so that way I can start arranging and planning.

just talk to Alexander and make sure a unified weapons check is cool with him; also, before talking to him, tell him what you'd like to work on, what ideas for battles you have and whether or not he can fit them in to what was planned for the day, and see if he has any CONSTRUCTIVE ideas

I say let's do it! It will only help us get better to fight against new and different styles and weapons. Besides, I might have my arrows ready by this Saturday! As long as Edhellen delivers the dad-blamed tips that is! (See, I'm a good blood-drinking psychopath. No bad words.)

I still have to talk to Alexander...and Amanda. Idk if she'll let me start trucking people to Edmond just yet. However, we might be able to get a unit practice this Saturday, if anyone is interested. Bring friends! Hey, Raalcor, what happened to your niece? And Macar and Haulsing? And Jacob and Aaron?

Howlsing and Macar will be able to finally rejoin us this weekend now that they are no longer grounded. My niece and her fiance enjoy this, but they don't always have the time to come out. Or they just forget. I keep calling to let them know what's going on though.
As for Jacob and Erin, Jacob's mom has moved to Duncan so that pretty much takes care of his participation in Midgar. I don't know about Erin.
Also, I hopefully will be able to haul Howlsing, Macar, and Hunter to the city if they can go.

Alright. This Saturday, is going to be unit practice. Next Saturday will probably be Edmond, I have to see what my schedule is like. In fact, that might actually switch, where we go to Edmond this Saturday instead......I'll know by tonight.

Also, I've been talking to Cat and Crystal and might be able to get them out there.
And also, if we are going to do a unit practice out of Shawnee, the earlier in the week we know, the better. Though I understand that this idea was only brought up and discussed in length this week so early notice was impossible.

Yes, there will be practice on Sunday as well. Yes, I will be giving much earlier notice for unit practices, since they will mainly be juggled around my schedule and everyone else's. Yes, that would awesome for Cat and Crystal to come. And.....no, I don't have confirmation from Amanda whether she'll let me go to Edmond, so we may have a unit practice at Kidspace. I'm still trying to talk to her.....le sigh.

We could have the unit practice at Kidspace this week and do Edmond next week. That would allow everyone to make sure their schedules match.
I'm only going to be able to make it to Saturday's practice. I try to spend some time with family one day a week, plus do stuff around the house I don't get done during the week.

Are you welcome to come to the unit practice? Yes. Do you need to steal members? No. Just find your own. Come on, there have to be people in Norman that want to be part of Midgar and part of the Dynasty.

Ok, so I won't be going to Alterra or Kidspace this Saturday, cuz I work from 1-9 that day. However, are any of the Dragonknights up to having a unit practice/meeting before or after practice on Sunday? Comments?
