Greetings and Salutations from the RoamingGnome

Hello!

My name is Rob, also known as the Roaming Gnome, or just Gnome. I am actually not sure why I picked that name, but have used it for a few years now. Ironically I am actually a very big guy.
I grew up in Shawnee and actually only left a year ago after I got married. I currently live and work in Midwest City. I graduated Shawnee High School in '09.

I am a nerd/ gamer. I played Wirld of Warcraft for several years but stopped a while back. I currentlty do a lot more 360. I do like the Lord of the Ring, however I preffer the Hobbit. I also love the Anne McCaffery novels as well as the conicles of Xanth.

Yes, I am one of those guys that has never done this before though I have read pretty far into mich of it. Being in Midwest City, when I first looked up local chapters I went to Alterra. I found out a guy I knew from high school actually goes there. However, they practice on Wednesdays and Saturdays and I have class/ work those nights. I am posting here to see when you guys meet in the hopes I might actually get to come to something.

They meet on sundays 1-4 or whenever everyone leaves. Kidspace Park in Shawnee.

Well met, Gnome. I'm the current leader of Midgar, Aodhfin (that would be pronounced A-fin). Practices are currently being held every Sunday from 12-4 PM, at Kidspace Park in Shawnee. Since you went to Shawnee High and grew up in Shawnee, I imagine you probably know where we fight. In case you don't, it's on the corner of Wayne and Center, past the cemetery. In the summer, we usually fight under the trees, in the back of the park...it's shadier there, and the pavilion is usually full. So, if you don't see us fighting out in the field by the skate park, or at the pavilion getting water, we're down in the trees. Hope to see you soon!
