i have a idea for garb i belive this is were to post it

i was planning on making a medevil shirt with a hood-aka cowl and a cape on my shoulder not a big cape just one small enough to go down to my hip problem is i dont know how to sew and plus i dont know if the cape we constrict my movement i was thinking about velcroing the cape and hood on but i wanted to know if i velcroed it if it would still count as garb

basically if you are velcroing a hood to something and want to take the hood off, just make sure that the "Something" you are velcroing it to has flaps that fold down and cover the exposed velcro pieces.
