Fighting in Amtgard

Hey everyone, it's your friendly neighborhood Dragonwalker again.

So here's the deal: This Sunday at about 1:45 pm we'll be heading to Meeker to fight the guys and gals in Amtgard. However, we're all at a very serious disadvantage, as pointed out by Connor when he came to fight with us last practice. Even with our heavy weapons, we were at a disadvantage, as he (like Gabriel and others) has been fighitng longer than us. However, he pointed out that the main reason that we were at a disadvantage was because of the serious difference in weapon weights. This would still hold true when it comes Sunday, only it would be akin to fighting about 20 of Connor. That being said.


I'm going to start taking orders, starting now, for Dag/Amtgard legal crossover weapons. If anyone wants one for this Sunday, please, either post here or send me a PM. Please keep in mind that I am in no way abandoning the tenants that Midgar was built on, as these weapons will be primarily used for Amtgard, not Dagorhir. However, they would still be legal weapons and able to be used at events if need be, and practices for training with them.

I have my skull and my d20, I think I'm good. They will be all doomed if I roll a 20, and when I wear my warpaint they will have to take -3 to all rolls due to my high skill level in Intimidation

actually, could you make a +1 Keen Flaming-Burst Mercurial Longsword of Speed? (or in dag...just a longsword)

Have you played Amtgard? Just curious. Besides, you wouldn't need one. You already have that crazy little drill bat, and all of your weapons are light. lol

I think I can come up with one or two light weapons since fiberglass is nearly as light

Go for it. I'm gonna try to make a few of em, just in case, as well as one for me to use besides the one that Connor gave to me.

Word of warning: I had to cut about 6 inches off of it to make it pass flex.

I think you have to be at least 14 to fight in Amtgard. I think Croix is 13.....Gage, you're 14, right?

Amtguard Is Fun And All But When I Play It I Feel Like This,

I just hit things. Pretty much it. If you go with Warrior class, all you have to worry about is hitting people. Just kill the spellcasters and archers first.
