Ansgeirr (I'm New........)

Childhood:

Ansgeirr Yngvirr, was born in what was known as Scandinavia in the human world known as Earth 11. Earth 11 is an alternate existence of earth where there has been everlasting warfare and bloodshed but otherwise pretty much the same as the primary existence of Earth in terms of development and geography. Ahnz’s father was a well known soldier in the area, and taught Ahnz of the way he fought despite Ahnz being very young. Ahnz’s mother was very loving and protective of him, she would tell him stories of King Arthur, knighthood, dragons, and the histories of the wars of man. At a young age, soldiers came to his village and burned it down, killing everyone. Protected by his mother, Ahnz was pushed away and told to leave the village, as he was running away, he turned back to see his parents being murdered in cold blood with some sort of projectiles he had never seen before coming from a large, powerful man who had a golden medallion hanging from his neck; he seemed to be the leader of the group that came. Ahnz left Scandinavia in search of answers, in search of a new family, love, and belonging.

A New Family:

During his travels, the wars climaxed and desperation, corruption, and the numbers of dead grew. As he grew, he began to learn the ways of the wild, the ways of the hunt, and at times would even have to kill things with his bare hands. The wolf became his favorite creature, he watched in fantasy as they hunted, killed, and fed together; it was a family. As Ahnz travelled east to get further away from the war he knew, he realized that this war was everywhere, there was no escaping it. One day as he travelled, he came across a group of Samurai; Samurai descendants really, they had continued to practice their trade long after they were needed in Japan so long ago. They taught Ahnz how to fight, live, and how to continue on. They taught him about the ways of the samurai, brotherhood, family, and what it meant to belong. Ahnz learned how to fight with many weapons, and how to fight against many weapons sets with them. He spent his time training on all weapons, learning their advantages and disadvantages. There was one weapon however, the No-Dachi, in which he excelled at; as he was taller than all of his samurai brethren, and it was in size, a katana to him. He was very hard and precise when he swung, not sheer power, but his swings were of a concentrated and accelerated power, perfect for the long bladed weapon he used. Ahnz was taught the most by the long sword Master; he had promised that the day that Ahnz learned the final technique from him, his training would be complete, and that he would be given his master’s sword. The day Ahnz was suppose to learn the final technique from him, he woke up to find death and destruction; his family was dead again. All the bodies had bullet wounds, and they were covered in a magic aura from a technomage that came to our world long ago. Ahnz’s father had told him of the creation of weapons from the magic of another world, but this was Ahnz’s first time to experience the presence of magic. He found the body of his master and approached it with eyes full of tears, his master’s sword was still sheathed, his bones were shattered, and there were fresh markings burned into his flesh, markings from what would seemed to have come from someone who knew magic. Was it the same man killing his family again? Why was death taunting him? Ahnz took his master’s sword, unsheathed it, and vowed to slay the one that took his master’s life. In the unsheathing of the blade, Ahnz felt a force come over him that he had never felt before, it was a magical presence that overwhelmed him, he now knew why his master had left the sword to him, it was so that he could help the world and the ones around him.
 
Imprisonment:

For years Ahnz searched for the man that killed his family and master, and he found the Kingdom of War, the center of where the wars came from, hoping he would find some answers there, but little did he know it, but they had found him first. One night while Ahnz was cooking the freshly caught boar he had killed, he heard a crack behind him, turned, and the last thing that he saw was the butt of a rifle to the face... When Ahnz woke up, he was no longer in the forest, he no longer had his fresh meal, and he no longer had his master's sword or any of his belongings. Actually, the only thing Ahnz did see, was stone walls, a steel door, and the shackles on his arms that wouldn’t even allow him to sit or rest. Guards would come by and allow him to eat just enough that he wouldn’t starve, and they would release him from the shackles so that they could take him out and whip them in front of all the other prisoners. The only thing he wondered was why? Why am I the one on display, why am I the only one in a room that has no view, no light, no proof of a world outside what he could see? From the second Ahnz woke up, he had been planning his escape; he listened to the footsteps, the voices, he timed them all accordingly. While in his cell, he trained his body and became stronger; by the third month, he found a way to dislocate his wrists so that he could free himself from the shackles, no one knew, especially the guards. Once he found out how to free himself, he began training his body more and more, he realized that the guards that pulled him off to be beaten could not restrain him if he actually tried to fight back even though he hadn’t yet.

The Man with the Medallion:

After a year of confinement, Ahnz knew the architecture of the entire complex and knew how to get out, the information was given to him by other prisoners that passed by his cell while the cell block was open. Month 13 of confinement, when Ahnz was taken out for his beatings, there was a different look in his eyes, the same look in his eyes as there was when he was first captured, and then time when he screamed WHY!!! into the crowd, everything just stopped, the chattering, the cracking of the whip, the mouse scurrying across the floor. A man entered, the shadow hid him as he walked up, and just a few feet away as he came up to Ahnz, the light hit him, he was large, and powerful looking, and laying on his chest, was the medallion, the same one that was worn by the man who had killed his parents, the same aura that was left on his master was coming from this man; Ahnz knew this man too well, but still had no idea what the reason was for the killing of his people, or the reason he was left to live. The man spoke, his voice was deep, he knew who I was, he told me a story, my story, I was a game, I was a toy, and he told me he was disappointed in me, he expected more from a man who had been tormented so many times, he expected more from the “Peacebringer”, the one who was foretold to have the power to end all the bloodshed. I thought to myself: “The Peacebringer”? I was that which was supposed to save the world from itself? Why hadn’t I been told? He then spat in my face, and proceeded to beat me with his fist, I could do nothing, just as I could do nothing as when I would be whipped. Remembering all my loved ones, all my training, and how there was always hope for the fighting to end yet there was no end in sight; I came into realization with myself. I stood myself up, and tore myself from what bound me to the whipping stand, the man threw me into the bars of one of the doors and I just shook it off, I ran to him and proceeded to fight him, much stronger than I was, he managed to push me back, but from my masters I used the techniques I learned in martial combat, and swept his feet out and then collapsed his throat with an axe kick. In his dying breaths he told me that the portal was still open, and the wars would still come, and the mages would still come to wage them. I had no idea what he spoke of other than the legends I had heard of what started the wars. When he died he began to glow and a magical force came from him and burst into the air and when it dispelled the medallion seemed to absorb the magic. I took the golden medallion in the avenging of my family and teachers and turned to the guards who pointed me to my belongings and led me out. From then on I was known as Aurultor, the Golden Avenger.

The Portal:

After completing what I had set out to do and learning my place in life, I set out to the rest of the world and solved many conflicts that occurred while I was in search of the portal that brought the wars. One day I came across a large ovular device that was glowing red within it, it was ancient but had a very powerful magical presence about it. I knew that this must have been the portal, and so I decided to go through. When I exited the portal, I was in a new world, the portal behind me did not look the same, it seemed tattered and damaged, and the world was not what I expected, it was not a world of war, but a world of ruin, ruin that seemed as though it occurred several hundred years prior to my arrival, and I knew I couldn’t go back… I remembered that my masters taught me the philosophy that from ruins comes new life, so I began looking for the inhabitants of this new world. For miles I travelled, I saw many different races, and did not know what to think of them, and when I came upon a human I asked him about the world, and he told me what he knew, he saw that I was a warrior and told me to find the Dragonknight of Tizona and he pointed me where to go. I found the city of Tizona, it was much different than the ruins I arrived to, the city seemed to be rebuilt and lively, much was going on around me, and I found the tavern to ask if there was anyone who knew of this Dragonknight. I was told to go ahead and wait there for a few nights and he would eventually come with other adventurers. In my waiting I asked about the individual who killed my family, and I was told that there hasn’t been anyone like that in over a millennia, and I was told that the portals can send a person to many places and many times. It was then that I knew that the portal I came through sends someone to my world 1000 years later, but coming to this “Midgar” it probably doesn’t change the period of time. Maybe someone could fix the portal to my world so that I could go back and save it… On my fifth day of waiting, a group of people approached the tavern led by a knight carrying several weapons and decorated in ornate armor, and I knew that this must’ve been the Dragonknight. He spoke to the others of the portal he protects, a war waging to the north, and what the dragonknights did in the world and I knew he might be able to find a way for me to get back home, but first, I must help him bring an end to the war in his world and find peace for it.

at the moment we are searching for something that screams midgar, but we don't have colors or symbol just yet.

idk about the flower thing.....however, i will be posting shortly for everyone to come up with a design for midgar, as well as colors.

Black red and green actually sounds good.....I think that once we get the papers back (once we're official), we'll have a vote about the symbol and the colors. As for the symbol....mythological critters are always awesome. A chupalacrabra though? A puma? C'mon buddy.....lol....

Btw, a puma is actually a mountain lion...so it's not quite mythical.

looking at your pic, id actually sugest gold, black, and red... like black as the main, and red and gold could be the trim/off color

well see, that could be the colors of the Dragonknights......but we need realm colors too. or maybe we should just be a realm without colors or symbol, and the units each have their own symbol and colors. isn't that how most of the successful realms pull it off?

rofl. this is very true, haven's colors ARE red, green, and black. however, after thinking about it for most of the day, the realm will stay colorless and symbolless for now. however, units can have colors.

and tyr, red green and black isn't exactly trademarked....rofl. otherwise, you'll have to sue every christmas tree underneath the starless sky!

when it's done being re-written, well what i have of it, then i need to finish it, then revise it 3 or 4 times, chew on it once or twice, then re-write it cuz i chewed on it, and well...it's a long process.
